Divine Movers Review -

David - a more lengthy letter will follow when we are settled. The move was SUPERB! Your men were tireless, efficient, polite, careful, accommodating and of good humor. They did a fantastic job in all respects. Can't begin to tell you how satisfied we were with your service. Have unpacked most fragile and delicate items and have found no damage as yet. All furniture is in fine shape. Very very pleased!!!!

Another happy customer... high profile move

Divine Moving is proud to be of help on the set of Harry Connick Jr. new music video.
After two long days on the set of the new music video our guys were tired but very happy they had the chance to be present and work next to this iconic actor singer and see at first hand how hard he works and the respect he gets from everyone surrounding him.
If you had doubts about buying his cd this holiday season – Don’t, go and buy his new cd you’ll enjoy it even if you are not a big fan (yet).

Packing Tip

Just a reminder - Please do not pack aerosol cans, matches, nail polish remover, paint, paint thinner, perfumes, hair spray, gunpowder, fireworks, or anything else along these lines that may be flammable.
Do not pack candles in hot weather either, it can cause them to melt.
Any liquid cleaning supplies avoid packing as well, it is possible for them to leak and cause damage.

Another Divine Review

Hi David,

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how pleased we were with our Divine Moving experience yesterday.

Professionally, Sidney and the rest of the gang were at the top of their game. They packed everything perfectly, impressed us by carrying all our furniture up and down awkward staircases, took great care with all our itmes and watched out for the wet paint. This was all done on a brutally hot day, very quickly, for a very affordable price which astounded me even more.

On a personal level, it was clear this crew really was a bunch of good-hearted guys who genuinely care about what they're doing. They're people I'd get a drink with!

You hear so many horror stories about sleazy movers, so it was especially refreshing to stumble upon Divine and how seamless an operation it is.

Thank you so much for getting our new home off to such a wonderful start.

Cheers,
Alia

Packing Tips for Moving

Thank you for moving with Divine Moving®

If you choose to pack yourself, here are some tips that may be useful:

The first thing you will need for packing your belongings is packing materials. This includes boxes, paper (for wrapping), tape, and small bubble wrap. You can obtain these items through this link:
http://affiliate.moveout.com/z/22/CD315
Once you have collected the necessary materials, you're ready to start packing. The major rule of thumb in packing is to make sure everything in the box is packed tightly. Be sure there is nothing moving or shaking around inside. Remember - loose items can cause damage.
Follow these steps when packing:
• First, Crumble paper and fill the bottom of the box.
• Wrap all breakables with paper or bubble wrap.
• Stand items up (do not lay down) in the box.
• Crumble paper on top of the first layer of items. Then create another layer of items, making sure you have crumbled paper between each layer of items all the way to the top of the box, with crumbled paper on top of the last layer.
• Seal the boxes well.
When packing, keep in mind the following rules of thumb:
• Always pack in reverse order of density, placing heavier items toward the bottom of the box and lighter items toward the top or in a separate box altogether.
• Pack heavier items (books, papers, photos) in smaller boxes.
• Label the boxes where you want them in the new place. It will save both you and us time at the new location.
• Do not pack aerosol cans, matches, nail polish remover, paint, paint thinner, hair spray, gunpowder, fireworks, or any similar items that may be flammable. Also avoid packing any liquid cleaning supplies -it is possible for them to leak and cause damage to other items.
• Make sure to empty out furniture drawers before the move date. Do not tape the drawers, as the tape may cause damages. We use special moving blankets to secure and protect the wood.
• Avoid packing with plastic bags (it's hard for us and to the building's personal to know what is trash and what is your belongings, aside from that we can't really stack them on dollies or in the truck something that will slow the move down).
If you encounter any problems with packing, either leave it for the movers to pack on the move date or give us a call.

Customer Review

Thank you so much for all you did to extract my daughter Claire from Brooklyn and deliver her once again to Manhattan. I'm sorry I didn't write earlier but I came home in what seemed like a hurricane and with my continuing ailment. But today is a much better day and I wanted you to know how truly grateful we are for your amazing work and service. The four men who handled the move were great in every respect. And you, David, were the essence of customer service because with all the changes of date/time, you never said "no" or were negative in any way. Dana also provided valuable information and coaching, and together you made the Divine way the best way possible for a move.

Thanks to everyone on your team who helped us during a time of extreme stress and anxiety (plus illness). If you ever need a reference from me, I'll be glad to help you.

All the best for your continuing success,

Sincerely,

Elaine Frost
