Moving to New York City in 2022? Congrats! Life must be going pretty well for you. Not many people are lucky enough to be able to live in The City Of Dreams. Especially in this economy. Housing prices hit an all-time high this year pretty much in every major city in the world. However, if that isn’t much of a problem for you, you might find it hard to choose from all the beautiful boroughs of NYC. Essentially, that means that although the housing prices are absolutely ridiculous, the housing market in both Chelsea and Long Island has never been more popping. Vibrant Life in Chelsea, NY
Once a working-class district consisting of warehouses, Chelsea is now one of the city’s most sought-after and pricey neighborhoods. There are several restaurants, bars, and shops, as well as art galleries and studios, in this neighborhood. To get to 34th Street, where the High Line Park comes to an end, much of the park’s famed route passes through Chelsea. In addition, the Chelsea Piers are just a short walk away. An enormous sports and entertainment complex stands on the banks of the Hudson River in New York City. You’ll still find a few industrial blocks with one or two trees clinging to life, but the neighborhood also contains glittering glass condos, vinyl-sided townhouses, and the historic Hunters Point Historic District. As with any decent New York borough, the LIC area is home to a diverse range of cuisines and eateries, from cheap Mexican to expensive steakhouses.
Families think that LIC is a suitable middle ground between city life and suburban tranquility. It’s also only a short walk to Midtown Manhattan, making it a convenient location for those who work there. Despite its lack of appeal, it does provide a few recreational options, including a massive ice rink, waterfront parks, and a kayak club.
