Vesta Trattoria & Wine Bar

As the name suggests, this is a restaurant and wine bar with many food options to choose from. There are, of course, even more wine options available for you. Located in 21-02 30th Ave this is a great option for your lunch or dinner. This is a place where everyone knows one another and it is great for social gatherings. It is also ideal for a dinner date. The food options include a wide variety of pasta, with their specialty, the wild boar lasagna. Other than that, they are offering other things like osso buco, chicken, and many types of burgers. The place is a little bit expensive, so make sure to arrive in your good clothes! No sweatpants allowed! In addition, it is kid friendly so you can even take your young ones to one of the best places to eat in Astoria, especially because Astoria is not one of the risky NYC neighborhoods.

Taverna Kyclades

You have probably guessed that this restaurant serves Greek cuisine. Located on 33-07 Ditmars Blvd it is certainly one of the best places to eat in Astoria when it comes to Greek food. It is a pretty busy place and you should not be surprised if you get a free bottle of wine while you are waiting for your order to arrive. We cannot say that it is the best because it is pretty much impossible to say that a certain restaurant is the best in whole New York City. This is a family restaurant and they serve everything in big portions.

Greek food is always interesting. Give it a go!

If you have ever looked at the map of Europe, you probably know three seas surround Greece. This makes it only logical that this restaurant specializes in seafood. There is a wide variety of marine delicacies such as stuffed clams, many types of whole fish, and even grilled octopus. This, of course, does not mean that they serve only seafood. If you do not like the taste of our watery friends, there are also some pork kebabs and lamb chops.

Sugar Freak

This one is special! It is on the list of many professional moving companies Queens if you ask them about the best places to eat in Astoria. It is Creole/Cajun cuisine and the interior of this restaurant will leave no one indifferent! Located on 37-11 30th Ave in Astoria, it is one of the best restaurants in the part of Astoria called Little Egypt.

However, the name of the neighborhood and the restaurant itself have almost nothing in common. The restaurant looks like you have entered a portal and appeared in New Orleans. The decorations are very intriguing and will make you stare at them for hours! When you are done staring at the magnificence of the restaurant interior, you will come to enjoy crawfish boils and jambalaya. If you want to compliment that with a drink, the best option is a strong draft cocktail or a glass of rum. They have an outdoor area and it is great to come with your friends on a night out and forget about your problems for a couple of hours!

Neptune Diner

If you want to taste that traditional dinner meal this is the place for you. Located on 31-05 Astoria Blvd, it is just down the block from the Bohemian Beer Garden. A perfect place for a dinner, wouldn’t you say? Neptune Diner is open for 24 hours which means that you can visit this place when you finish enjoying your pints over at the beer garden. They serve regular diner food, such as eggs and bacon, omelets, pancakes, and sandwiches. Other than that, there are some grilled food options such as burgers, and even some Greek delicacies such as souvlaki. Your kids are going to love the wide variety of milkshakes and slushies. It is also just next to the Astoria Boulevard Northwest Station, so you better catch that train and get to your new favorite diner in town!

Hinomaru Ramen

This is your best option when it comes to Japanese food in Astoria. Hinomaru Ramen is located on 33-18 Ditmars Blvd and the beautiful smell of ramen will lure you right in. There is a wide variety of foods of different regional styles. The shoyu, miso, and tonkotsu shoyu specialties go together perfectly with other meals such as chicken, seafood, and also some vegan options. Other than that, there is also chashu, which is an unforgettable part of your Japanese lunch. The interior is also very cute and Japanese-looking with small wooden tables and stools. One of the best places to eat in Astoria and unwind after you are done ditching the cardboard boxes and plastic bins from your move!

The Strand Smokehouse

If you do not want to run around eating different cuisines and want to enjoy some good old American food, the Strand Smokehouse is your best option! Located on 25-27 Broadway in Astoria, it looks like a warehouse with a lot of food and beer! It is huge and best enjoyed with a big group of friends. Sit your group at one of the huge picnic tables and look as the fat from the meat you have just ordered sizzles down on the grates of the grill in the corner of the room. The most popular choice here are ribs and they are so potent and nutritious that they will probably last you for a couple of days.
